Currently, Village supports internal self-serve credentials based on email addresses available in the core data systems. Passwords are encrypted for storage and mail verification is required to manage accounts.
Active Directory authentication is available, however, a reliable linkage between security capabilities and the Active Directory account must be available to allow access to Village.
The Sign In / Register / Recover panel includes the Register form to enter an email and strong password.
This email address should be an address associated with your identity in the source systems.
Once you "Register For Access" with the blue button, you will receive a verification email which needs to be accessed within 10 minutes of creating the account. This verifies your email and allows access to Village functionality appropriate to your user type.
Once verified, you will be required to set up Secret Questions / Secret Answers to enable self-serve password recovery.
In order to enable self-serve password recovery, you must set up secret questions and answers that will be used to enable reset links to work.
Under the User Menu at the top right, you can choose "Account Details". This results in a page allowing you to reset your secret Q/A or reset your password.
It also displays information regarding your security access within the application.
